Dr. Baris Yildirim specializes in Hand and Upper Extremity surgery as well as Orthopaedic Surgery at Town Center Orthopaedics in Ashburn, Reston, and Fairfax.

Dr. Yildirim completed his medical degree and orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia. He then furthered his training with a Hand and Upper Extremity fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. After his training, he practiced at MetroHealth, a Level 1 Trauma Center in Cleveland where he treated patients with the most complex upper extremity injuries and conditions in the area, prior to returning to Virginia and joining us at Town Center Orthopaedics. Dr. Yildirim’s primary areas of focus are the treatment of injuries and disorders of the shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand.

Dr. Yildirim has authored many research publications, book chapters, and has given presentations across the country with specific focus on the upper extremity. Dr. Yildirim believes in a patient-centered and team-oriented approach and likes to involve physical and occupational therapists to maximize functional outcomes for his patients.
In addition to his extensive medical commitments, Dr. Yildirim enjoys sports, traveling, restoring his 1974 Toyota Land Cruiser, and spending time with his family and two daughters.
